Dustin Siena feels both privileged & inspired to practice a complete system of medicine which has a 5,000 year old history.
The philosophy is to spend the maximum amount of time with each patient, and provide an optimal level of health care. This approach is interwined with the Eastern Philosophy that each patient is unique & special. Thus, we do not treat disease.
We treat the person.
Dustin's passion lie in the elegance of creating an original herbal formula for his patients. The nearly 5,000 year old tradition of hand-crafting & creating a unique herbal formula for that specific person is the core & beauty of what is considered Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dustin is a Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California. Dustin also holds two Diplomates from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), in both Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Dustin relies on 'Pulse Diagnosis', in order to draw & absorb the enormous body of knowledge & diagnostic information which can be discerned through the patients pulse. Each internal organ has a specific & unique pulse. Through taking a patients pulse adjacent to their radial artery near their wrist, on both left & right sides, we are able to differentiate the state of wellness and/or disease in a particular organ system.
This methodology is one of the pillars of diagnosis that we utilize, having been practiced for several-thousand years. This methodology allows for maximum precision in diagnosis and ensures high efficacy in all Acupuncture & Herbal Treatments.
With extensive studies in Taoist Tonic Herbal Medicine, Native-American Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, and the cutting-edge of Nutritional Supplementation, Dustin integrates the world's most developed systems of healing.
Dustin also has extensive training in a specialized area called "Auriculotherapy", which involves the insertion of needles or beads (non-invasive), into points on the ear. Auriculotherapy has been used extensively in Smoking Cessation programs & Drug Detoxification clinics throughout the world. It is alo being developed by the United States Navy as a protocol to treat health ailments, as well as to strengthen the individual overall. Dustin traind under the auspices of Dr. Li-Chuan-Huang, who is currently China's premiere expert on Auriculotherapy, having treated two Prime Ministers of China.
He is the proud author of various articles that have been published in Professional Medical Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, and Health Columns including Acupuncture Today, Beverly Hills Weekly, Vitamin Retailer, Juiced Magazine, and most recently, his article, "Natural Remedies: Herbs & The Cosmos: An Introduction to Chinese Herbs", appears in the February 2009 issue of YHC Magazine.
Dustin has also lended his skills, creating Cosmetic Formulas for major cosmetic companies. Dustin teamed up with Derma-E, a leading Cosmetic Company for the last 40 years. Dustin was the formulator & chemist of 2 Herbal "Trans-Dermal" formulas, which are applied topically to the skin. They are designed by Dustin Siena to induce a state of deep sleep, and calmness. Currently, these 2 formulas are available at fine health food stores throughout the world.
He has also created herbal formula 'additives' for major Restaurant Franchises throughout North America.
Dustin is constantly in development of future herbal products, which will hopefully enrich the human experience. These formulas are tedious, as years of research & development are spent in their creation.
Dustin's spirit cultivation practice weaves throughout his daily life, both personally & professionally.
