BEYOND ACUPUNCTURE Traditional Chinesel Medicine is an umbrella for a system that has many modalities. We utilize all the modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which include Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Moxabustion, Cupping, Pulse diagnosis, Auriculotherapy, Qi-Gong, Meditation techniques, and Nutrition. DIET & NUTRITION Food & Herbs are based on energy. They have varying tastes and temperatures. This is why each herbal formula and diet can vary from person to person, even if they both have the same disease. This is called treating the person, not the disease. Your dietary & nutritional guidance will depend on many factors. But what’s important to understand is, it’s based on the person as whole, not just a disease or symptom. This is why there is variance among diets, nutritional approaches, and of course herbal formulas. We are enthusiastic about juicing faw fruits & vegetable on a daily basis, but understand each person has different needs. This approach is not right for everybody. For this reason, our dietary instruction & guidance varies based on each individual. WE TREAT ONE PERSON AT A TIME Many providers choose to see more than one patient at a time. However, for over a decade, we only see & treat one individual patient at a time, which allows us to only treat 6 to 8 patients per day. We take pride in spending time with our patients, and giving them our 100% focus during their visits. Many might call this a boutique style medical practice. We prefer to call it traditional medicine. This is our passion. CLASSICAL DIAGNOSIS STYLE Since Chinese Medicine has evolved over nearly 5,000 years, the diagnostic techniques used are different. There are based on Palpation and Observation. Dustin Siena has advanced training in a Traditional Pulse Diagnostic system, which is used to gather all the important information that can be discerned through your Pulse. Various points may be palpated throughout your body, which allows the Chinese Medicine Doctor to diagnose which meridian is imbalanced. This falls under palpation. Your tongue will be observed in order to gather further information. We consider these the pillars of Chinese Medicine Diagnosis, which lays the foundation for your Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine treatments. As your pulse changes everyday, and during each week of treatment, so do your treatments. We are constantly refining, and fine-tuning our treatment principles to address your current condition. Your body is constantly in flux, changing with the sunrise of each new day, and the breath of new life experiences; your pulse is a mirror of this. As millions of Americans are prescribed chemical-based medications, this is becoming almost pandemic; we are referring to pain killers. Opiate addiction is complex since each different chemical or drug has unique pharmacology, pharmaco-kinetics, and pharmaco-dynamics, making the both the Acute withdrawl symptoms and Post-Acute Withdrawl Symptoms (PAWS), different for each specific opiate. Acupuncture is a powerful support for Addiction. Let us remember that We utilize the (NADA) protocol, which is based on Ear Acupuncture. Acupuncture points throughout the body are also utilized, tailored to each individual's needs, chemical of addiction, symptoms, and the person's unique constitution.
